Includes portraits of individuals and groups, apparently of family members and community groups. Many images feature woodland settings, and some pictures include evidence of logging operations, horse teams, buildings, and livestock. Color reproduction of a broadside advertising the public sale of lands of C. Ed Lukens, deceased. The lands to be sold are described as valuable timber, farming, and grazing lands and are located in Randolph and Pendleton counties. The broadside lists terms of sale and also describes the individual acreages for sale, including about 6,440 acres comprising twelve plots of land in Raleigh county and 523 acres comprising three farms in Pendleton county.
